New project day at "Topography of Terror"

01/05/2012

At the second day of "Victims' Voices at the Perpetrators' Site" in the "Topograpy of Terror", students do research on witnesses and perpetrators at Frankfurt Auschwitz Trial (1963-65).

The Center for Digital Systems at Freie Universität Berlin and the Foundation "Topography of Terror" are developing project days "Victims' Voices at the Perpetrators' Site".

On the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, from January 27 a new project school day about the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trial (1963-65) will be available.

The interactive project day is aimed at students aged 16 and above. Apart from historical facts about Auschwitz, it will focus on the judicial persecution of the crimes and the witnesses' active role therein.

Based on audio-taped court testimonies and life-story interviews the students become trial observers and in the end present their results as a radio feature.
