Indexing Process – Main Focus of the Project in 2011

Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) participates in interview-indexing process

The life story interviews are not only being digitized and made available online at the Freie Universitaet Berlin, but are also undergoing an indexing process. This task involves generating tables of contents and indexes, as well as reviewing the metadata and short biographies.

In cooperation with the Department of Eastern European Studies’ (OEI) research team for the history of Eastern Central Europe at the Freie Universitaet Berlin, the project team of the Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) will devote more energies to the indexing of the contemporary witness interviews in 2011.

The team is looking for additional indexers with the following language skills: Bosnian, Macedonian, Romani, and Slovenian.
