February, 8: Presentation of the online archive at Berlin Society for Research on Fascism and World War
On February 8, 2011 Dr. Cord Pagenstecher presents the online archive "Forced Labor 1939-1945" and new educational material at a teachers' training at Berlin Society for Research on Fascism and World War.
"Forced Labor 1939-1945" commemorates the more than twelve million people who were forced to work for Nazi Germany. Nearly 600 former forced laborers from 26 countries tell their life stories in detailed audio and video interviews. The interviews were digitized and have been made accessible online to support education and research.
The educational material “Life Story Interviews in the Classroom" was published in cooperation with the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (Federal Agency for Civic Education).
